From: Anderson, Linda [Anderson@augsburgfortress.org] Sent: Thursday, April 01, 1999 6:03 AM To: 'chymes@ix.netcom.com' Subject: updated hoax I am wondering if you have heard anything about a new twist on the Craig Shergold hoax. I received a letter from one of our company's vendors asking us to send a business card to Craig SHEFORD, c/o Make a Wish Foundation, 320 Perimeter Center East, Atlanta, GA. The letter states: "The Children's Make a Wish Foundation is asking businesses to participate in a goodwill gesture. Please take the time to send a business card from your company to Craig Sheford at the address below. Craig is a SEVEN-year-old who has a brain tumor. Unfortunately, he has very little time to live. He has turned to the Children's Make a Wish Foundation and expressed a desire to be recognized by the Guiness Book of World Records for the largest collection of business cards compiled by an individual. Please take the time to retype this letter on your company letterhead and send it to twenty companies of your choice. Make this wish come true for Carig." I am filing this in the circular file where it belongs, but thought you might be interested. Thanks for you good website. Linda Anderson anderson@augsburgfortress.org
