Hiya,

        Yeah, I remember seeing that one going around, BUT, now 
that the Florida legislature is looking at introducing an 
Internet services tax (Texas and several other states are taxing 
net access via sales tax), this one strikes me as one that will 
soon be true. 

It's not a modem tax -- but it is...unless the connection is 
offered for free.
