The Federal Government of the United Stated is a huge, mysterious, powerful, dangerous thing. It is clearly has been capable of astounding extremes of wickedness.

NONE THE LESS,  the US government is a remarkably open institution. Most of its mystery lies in the fact that no-one bothers to investigate.  Very little wickedness, treason, or subversion is done in open legislation in congress.
